Sangean DT-200X FM-Stereo AM/FM Digital Tuning Personal Receiver Review
Batteries should last 30 to 40 hours at moderate volume through the unit's single speaker and slightly longer on the included ear bud headphones. Pocket use was taken into account even at the level of ear bud manufacture: if you put your radio in your pocket, it's less distance to one ear than to the other, so one side of the headphone cord is accordingly shorter. The DT200V runs on 2 AA batteries, not included.
What's in the Box
Radio, ear bud headphones, belt clip, trailing antenna, and a user's manual.
Don't miss a thing: catch your favorite news and talk radio on AM, high fidelity music on FM / Built-in speaker

Sangean WR-2 Digital AM/FM Tabletop Radio, Black Review
Even though the WR-2 is advertised as an AM/FM radio, it offers much more than a standard digital tuner, including a Radio Data System (RDS) that displays short text messages on applicable FM stations, along with support for the Enhanced Other Network (EON) and its traffic information (available in certain regions). And unlike most tabletop radios, the WR-2 lets listeners adjust the treble and bass levels via the variable volume control. In its default mode, the rotary volume knob displays the volume level from 1 to 60. Tap it once, however, and it turns into a full-range treble control, and two taps creates a full-range bass control. Additional features include a clock with an alarm (radio or buzzer), an auxiliary input jack for connecting such devices as an iPod or MP3 player (both of which sound great through the speaker), a recording output jack, 10 memory presets that help you quickly find your favorite stations, and a full-featured infrared remote control.
A final bonus stems from the power backup function, which plays the radio for six minutes during a power failure (great for emergencies) and retains the memory preset and clock values for about an hour. The WR-2 measures roughly 9.5 by 4.5 by 6 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 5.5 pounds.
What's in the Box
WR-2 tabletop radio, detachable power cord, infrared remote control, user's manual.
Digital AM/FM Table Top Receiver designed to provide exceptional audio reproduction utilizing a special acoustically balanced enclosure combined with a enhanced frequency response speaker and Sangean's advanced audio circuitry providing the sound and features of a large home stereo system.

Uniden Digital Mobile Scanner with 25,000 Channels and GPS Support (BCD996XT) Review
The Uniden BCD996XT may look the same as its similarly named predecessor, the BCD996T, but inside it's a whole lot different. The new scanner significantly raises the bar with improved APCO-25 digital decoding as well as a host of new features and more memory. For those who like GPS scanning, a feature no other manufacturer offers, you can now enable and disable not only systems but groups as well. It offers a band-scope feature, a fire tone out search feature to help you determine the tone out frequencies being used, improved close call, APCO-25 NAC code decoding, and more.
TrunkTracker IV with Control-Channel Only scanning and I-Call monitoring tracks voice traffic on P25, Motorola, EDACS, and LTR Trunked systems.
The BCD996XT features close call RF capture technology, which allows it to instantly tune to signals from nearby transmitters, so you can stay on top of what's going on in your vicinity.
Location-Based scanning automatically selects programmed systems based on your location when connected to a compatible GPS receiver. The BCD996XT also features GPS support for location alerts and crows-flight navigation, with independent GPS control of sites and channel groups.
Get a clear view of unit functions with the multi-colored display.
Get a graphic representation of signal activity, great for finding active channels.
Automatically sets the digital decode threshold for APCO 25 system
Automatically unlocks channels when you cycle power.
The BCD996XT instantly detects and displays the subaudible tone so you can quickly determine system settings.
S.A.M.E., aka Specific Area Message Encoding, weather alerts are supported. During a NOAA Weather or Emergency Alert, a code for your specific location will alert you to severe conditions in your immediate area.
Use Uniden's software for conveniently setting up your scanner without having to do everything individually via the hardware interface.
Provides rapid access to a specific system or channel.
